  NUCLEAR WEAPON: A  nuclear weapon   is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from  nuclear reactions , either  fission  or a combination of fission and  fusion  reactions .Both bomb types release large quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter. Nuclear weapons are the most dangerous weapons on earth.  One can destroy a whole city, potentially killing millions, and jeopardizing the natural environment and lives of future generations through its long-term catastrophic effects.  The dangers from such weapons arise from their very existence.  Although nuclear weapons have only been used twice in warfare—in the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945—about 13,400 reportedly remain in our world today and there have been over 2,000 nuclear tests conducted to date.  Disarmament is the best protection against such dangers, but achieving this goal has been a tremendously difficult challenge. World War 2 and its Military Inventions   As the WW1 came to an end, the Treaty of Versailles was signed which was a huge humiliation for Germany as they had to reduce their military and pay retribution for the damage it cost others in the war. Utilizing this humiliation for revenge and ultranationalism, Hitler came to power and started the militarization process of Rhineland and attacked Poland straight after in 1939 which saw the start of WW2. The war was later completed in 1945 resulting in the Allies vicotry. This war had the most casualties in modern warfare which has to be accounted to the mamoths of weapons that were invented and created for this war. Except for the eastern front in Soviet Union, the war left behind the conventional ground military action for naval and aviation war practices. WORLD WAR 1: The spark that set off World War I came on June 28, 1914, when a young Serbian patriot shot and killed Archduke Franz Ferdinand, the heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire (Austria), in the city of Sarajevo. The assassin was a supporter of the Kingdom of Serbia, and within a month the Austrian army invaded Serbia. As a result of the military alliances that had formed throughout Europe, the entire continent was soon engulfed in war. Because European nations had numerous colonies around the world, the war soon became a global conflict. The real causes of World War I included  politics, secret alliances, imperialism, and nationalistic pride . However, there was one single event, the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand of Austria, which started a chain of events leading to war Germany entered into World War I on August 1, 1914,  when it declared war on Russia . ...
